Displaying Reading Corner Quotes

The way you display your quote of choice can help to get across its impact as well. Ideally, it should be big and bold, clear for everyone to see.

We’re big fans of creative reading corner displays and it’s wonderful when your reading corner books become part of that display. Your books no doubt have beautiful cover art that should be on show, enticing kids to pick them off the shelves and dive in.

Create a colourful base for your quote on a display board on the wall above the reading corner using poster paper and line it with a contrasting border

Draw or paint your quote directly onto the paper, or save time by using pre-cut alphabet letters. We stock multicoloured 250 piece packs of paper letters or shiny mirror letters that will catch anyone’s eye when they come into the room. Don’t forget about drawing pins or Blu Tack to secure them.

Incorporating a book rack that displays your books is a really easy way to do this, and doubles as storage. A book rack like the Horizontal Wall-Mounted Book Rack or Floor-Standing Book Rack means your books are safely stored against the wall but kids can easily see their covers and choose what they like.

If there’s a special book that the whole class is reading together, maybe this could take centre stage on a Big Book Rack.

We cover all sorts of other creative reading corner display ideas in our blog.
